Ultrasonic systems for better and faster cleaning in the industry
Ultrasonic cleaning systems
The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic bath is caused by sound waves (not perceptible to humans) passing through the water with the cleaning liquid.
The vibrations cause millions of air bubbles to form, which then collapse because of the sound waves. This process is called cavitation, and it removes all the dirt particles from objects that need to be cleaned.
This happens without scratching or abrasion and, because the liquid gets into all the corners and holes, also in places where it is hard to reach by hand.
The cleaning fluid supports the cavitation/cleaning process. Depending on the type of contamination on the object to be cleaned, different cleaning fluids may be used.

Operation of an ultrasonic unit
The heating system, in combination with ultrasound, ensures the bath is heated up to a temperature of 60-85 °C. This heating causes the dirt to release quicker, enabling the cleaning liquid to work better. To keep the heat in the bath, a hydraulically-operated lid to close the bath is installed.
The hydraulic lift system provides two things; easy loading and unloading of the objects to be cleaned, and the application of EcoMove. The lift system is built into the bath, making it possible for EcoMove to be applied and to move each object up and down during the cleaning process to ensure complete cleaning.
The skimmer ensures all floating dirt particles on the cleaning liquid are discharged to a collection container. It is then possible to use an oil separator or extraction system to remove any residual product and odours.
Benefits of ultrasonic units and ultrasonic cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning offers many advantages over manual cleaning. Difficult to clean objects, such as carburettors, heat exchangers and filters, can be cleaned easily using ultrasonic technology because the air bubbles get everywhere without damaging the object.
In addition to achieving a better and safer result, the cleaning time using ultrasonic technology is also many times lower when compared to manual cleaning. The risk for the user, compared to, for example, high-pressure cleaning, also decreases considerably.
